Starting with Mr. Zelensky, all the leaders present seem to have understood that flattering Mr. Trump was the surest way to avoid derailing talks. So in their opening remarks they underscored the fact that Mr. Trump had suggested that the United States would play an as yet unspecified role in security guarantees.... The agreement thus far included a commitment from Ukraine to buy around $90 billion of American military equipment through its European allies, he said, including aviation and antimissile systems.... During an interview on Fox News, Mark Rutte, the NATO secretary general, acknowledged that the Trump administration’s commitment to providing security guarantees for the Ukrainians remained vague.”

Maine. DHS Faults Police for Trusting DHS. Patrick Whittle of the AP: “A Maine police officer arrested by immigration authorities has agreed to voluntarily leave the country, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said Monday. ICE arrested Old Orchard Beach Police Department reserve Officer Jon Luke Evans, of Jamaica, on July 25, as part of the agency’s effort to step up immigration enforcement. Officials with the town and police department have said federal authorities previously told them Evans was legally authorized to work in the U.S.... Evans’ arrest touched off a dispute between Old Orchard Beach officials and ICE. Police Chief Elise Chard has said the department was notified by federal officials that Evans was legally permitted to work in the country, and that the town submitted information via the Department of Homeland Security’s E-Verify program prior to Evans’ employment. Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security Tricia McLaughlin then accused the town of “reckless reliance” on the department’s E-Verify program.”

Listening to part of the meeting yesterday at the Blight House, a couple of things stood out, mostly the "It's All About Me" stench that hovers around anything connected to Fat Hitler. So here's European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen talking about the importance of returning the 20,000 Ukrainian children kidnapped by Putin (so a red carpet for a murderer AND a kidnapper...nice). The second she finishes, Fatty jumps in and says, effectively, "Never mind all that, how about that great trade deal I did? Greatest ever, right? Don't forget about me."
In other words, "Kidnapped kids? Meh. But how 'bout that great deal I made? Right? Aren't I wonderful?"
Even the most self-centered person you've ever known in your life (and (I've run across a few) would have the sense to at least acknowledge the fact that Putin has kidnapped tens of thousands of children for indoctrination, and who knows what the hell else, before yanking the spotlight back onto themselves. Not Trump, although at one point he did say something like "Kids? Oh, yeah. My wife talks about that." Because it's not really about the kids, it's about how no one knew anything about this until a member of his crime family brought it up.
The other thing I found hilariously stupid was how Fatty seemed to think this collection of world leaders were there to honor him. In fairness, they all made sure to curtsy in his smelly direction because he won't listen to anything that isn't prefaced by bowing and scraping before his godly person. Just once I'd like to hear the leader of millions of people talk about what's really important without beginning with "Oh, Donald, you're so wonderful!" I realize that proper diplomatic courtesy requires appropriate acknowledgement of the host country, but Fat Fuck himself never observes such niceties.
Finally....AGAIN with how many wars he personally has stopped. What wars? Where? And because he's got his nose up Putin's crack, he made sure, anytime someone mentioned "Ceasefire", and pretty much everyone did--because IT'S NECESSARY!--to interject his totally ignorant opinion that ceasefires are not important "All the wars I personally stopped this year, none had ceasefires..."
Where little is expected, little will be delivered, and Fatty is first in show with delivering nuthin'.
